A Community “Share-Along”—Sunday, October 12

What do you get when you combine a community potluck, a town hall/ brainstorm, and an Ag Reserve story/song/poetry share? It’s a Community Share-Along!

Come hear about new proposals and laws that will impact farms, forests, and water resources. Bring your questions and ideas, and exchange ideas with neighbors.

Friends of Ten Mile Creek Annual Meeting—Sunday, October 19

Who: Friends of Ten Mile Creek and Little Seneca Reservoir

When: Sunday October 19, noon

Where: The Bank Barn at Linden Farm, 20900 Martinsburg Road, Dickerson, Maryland

Why: Annual meeting, fundraiser, and community get-together

What: A potluck. Refreshments and live music provided. All are welcome, including kids

Opening of Royce Hanson Conservation Park—Saturday, November 1

Who: Montgomery County, Montgomery Parks Foundation, and supporters of the new park

When: Saturday, November 1,1:00 pm

Where: 21765 Club Hollow Road, Dickerson, Maryland

Why: Celebrate Royce, the Ag Reserve he helped create 45-years ago, and the new 435-acre park. The park will offer educational programs, in collaboration with Poolesville High School’s Global Ecology Program.

The Montgomery Parks Foundation is raising money to launch educational and other programs at the park. You can make a tax-deductible donation on their website—just click the button below.
